I have a copy of the actual handwritten page of "A list of the first Company
of the Second Regiment and _?_ Bataliant of the Hunterdon militia Comanded by
Jacob _?_ [this name ends in LL] _?_ the _th day of June AD 1806
Batalian Tranning" [I spelled these words as they are written.] My
questions are: is this a list for 1 training session- would there be more
lists?, what are the column titles in the list?, was the list of privates
taken in any particular order-are people listed next to each other probably
from the same family? did these militias ever have to do any fighting? I
also need background info on everything about the militia (maybe even a book,
so I could learn what it was like back then).
