Sandy,

Two brothers, Zachariah and Johann Wilhelm Alpock, with their families came
over in 1734 on the ship "Hope", the original spelling was Ohlbach or
Ahlbach. Zach later moved on to Frederick Maryland and his line adapted the
name of "Albaugh" and variations of same, but Johann Wilhelm remained in the
Alexandria area to raise his family. His line adapted the "Alpaugh"
spelling. Hope this helps.
