Hello to all,
It's been some time so I thought I would repost my surname interests.
My mother was born in Lambertville and resided in Hopewell most of her life.
She was Clara (Clare to friends) Elizabeth ROGERS McANDREWS. bn 9/13/1923.
to Charles McAndrews and Hilda Rogers. Charles was quite a bit older than
Hilda and they divorced abt 1926. I know nothing further on him. Hilda went
on to remarry years later but also managed a hotel on Lake Hopatcong. Clara
went to live with her grandparents on a farm (HOPE FARM) I believe on 528 in
Hopewell. They were Alfred and Catherine (Ball) ROGERS. Originally from
County Clare Ireland.
Clara married Nolan BURD Sr of Hopewell when she was 17. they later divorced
and she married my father (still living). Clara died in 1984.
Most of this information is not proven and from memory of what my mother told
me before she died. She was an only child and had very few relatives.
Anyone who may know of this family please contact me as I am at a dead end.
