Greetings,

I'm searching for the elusive ancestors of my GG grandfather Benjamin
Harrington (1828-1890). He is buried at the Presbyterian Church yard in
Cokesbury, Hunterdon County, NJ. He was married to Aullie Hoffman (Oly
Hoffman in Chamber's Early Germans of NJ), daughter of George and Elizabeth
Conover Hoffman. A transcript of the marriage certificate states that his
father was a John 'Hadington'. Benjamin is also known to have used that
spelling during his life. I suspect a connection with the Edward Harrington
(aka Hadington and Herrington) who lived in Hunterdon County during the 18th
century. Edward was in 'gaol' at least once for his debts. Any information
regarding the Harrington/Herrington/Hadington families of Hunterdon County
would be greatly appreciated.
