Marshall:
Is this your James? Just got this information yesterday...
In Hunterdon County New Jersey Taxpayers 1778-1797, in Bethlehem
Township are listed ... "Jeams Garreson" in 1789...
Perhaps the "Jeams Garreson" who resided in Bethlehem in 1789
was identical with the James Garrison who is buried in the remote
and rural Garrison-Tharp Cemetery there. James was born in
February 1768 and died in December 1825. Martha, widow of John
Garrison, died 2 July 1866, aged 76 years (Jackie Lubinski, email
correspondence [26 October 1999]).

I have a James GARRISON (b 1767) who married a Dinah ROBINS in Hunterdon
Co, NJ. I don't know James' parents names but his first born is named
John. My James could very well be your Jane's brother. See
