To the partiesinterested in Hunterdon Garrisons, my G'Gmother was Diana
Garrison, according to her death certificate she was born 12 Feb 1841 in
Clinton & died in Clinton 13 July 1910. She married Henry Baker, born in
Germany. She was the daughter of Isaac Garrison & Diana Wilton. Isaac
Garrison was the 3rd child, of eight, of James Garrison & Diana Robinson.
their 1st child was John, born ABT 1790.
Diana Garrison & Henry Bakers daughter, Laura Belle Baker marr. William E.
Smith Son of William Smith & Mary ?? of Bethleham twsp.
I am not familiar with the gravesites & markers nor can I find a Tharp/Thorp
in my extended family. There are, apparently, several Garrison clans in N.J.
A rather large one from Bergen Co. going back befor the Rev. war & another
rather large clan from south Jersey going way back . There were also
Garrisons in Warren Co.
