The following is the newspaper report of a Bridal shower. The article was
found in my grandfather's Bible and I believe it to be from the period
1915-1920. There are many names, and they are in no apparent order.

"Shower for Miss Hixson
A domestic shower was tendered Miss Alma Hixson, at the home of her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. William Hixson, on Hart Avenue, on Saturday afternoon, in honor
of her approaching marriage to George Genther, of Lawrenceville. She received
many useful gifts with which to engage in housekeeping. A pleasant hour was
spent by the guests present.
