Subject: [NJHUNTER] Jacob S VAN MARTER Hunterdon and Somerset

Need help in locating Jacob S. VAN MARTER's parents. He was born 11 April
1825 in Neshanic, Somerset apparently without benefit of parents. From
speaking with a distant VAN MARTER relative we found that Jacob may have been
a half brother of Joseph VM and his mother may have been named SKILLMAN.
Jacob married Mary Catherine STRYKER 13 Nov 1847 in Somerset and they later
moved to Ringoes in Hunterdon where they both died. Not much to go on but if
you can shed any light on him, it will be greatly appreciated.
