Dear Ron:
No, in fact there is a Milford in both Hunterdon Co, NJ and Bucks Co, PA.
They're not across the river from each other, but they're close enough to
make thorough researchers like yourself question your information. A big
difference, however, is that Milford is a town in NJ and a township in PA.
To make matters worse, the children of both Milford, NJ and Milford Twp, PA
attend high schools called Delaware Valley, both schools' colors are blue
and gold, and both school mascots are the Terriers. I always thought it was
silly -- who'd be afraid of a Terrier?!
By all means, have a poke around Milford, NJ, but I'd concentrate on Bucks
Co for your George Mitchel. Good luck!
By the way, I'll also send this reply to the Bucks (PA) and Hunterdon (NJ)
lists for the benefit of other out-of-state Milford researchers.
