I can't help on his specific history, but the NEVIUS name applies to an old and fairly well researched family of Dutch heritage. They lived in both NY and NJ in the early days.

My Great-Grandmother was listed living with him as a servant in the 1900 Hunterdon Co. census. Does anyone know what this might have meant? Her name was May STOUT, probably of the STOUT family of Hunterdon Co. Thanks for any help.
