My mother has been searching for 40 years, and now I have taken over the quest - any clues, help, or suggestions greatly appreciated:

Who is the father of John HIGGINS? b. 25 March 1769 d. 27 June 1841
m. Priscilla WERT, dau of Henry WERT & Mrs. Elizabeth STILWELL.

Children:
Mary HIGGINS b. 11 Sept 1796
Priscilla HIGGINS b. unknown
Ann HIGGINS b. 28 April 1803 m. JEREMIAH RITTENHOUSE
Sarah Ann HIGGINS b. 17 Oct 1800 d. 6 Feb 1862 Hopewell
m. 11 Nov 1820 SAMUEL M. DALRYMPLE

John HIGGINS may be the son of either JEDIAH or JOSHUA (JOSEPH 3, JEDIDIAH 2, RICHARD 1 HIGGINS). Joseph 3 HIGGINS dau Hannah m LOT RITTENHOUSE son of WILLIAM RITTENHOUSE and Catherine HOWELL.

Have searched all the sons of JOSEPH HIGGINS, except for JEDIAH and JOSHUA. Can't locate them, their spouses or children, wills, estates, etc. in Hunterdon Co. Any help greatly appreciated!
