Rob Kugler,
I can't find Ida Rittenhouse Bellis Kugler in my line, but my great
grandmother was Amy Catherine Bellis, who married Manning Force Sherman.
I found some Kuglers in my line..........let me know if you have any of
these...............
Wilson B. Kugler m. Elizah Jane Rittenhouse, dau. of James Rittenhouse and
Abigail Mattison. Elizah was born 2-27-1835 and died 5-28-1920.......Wilson
and Elizah children were.........
1) Susan R. b. 3-5-1862 m. Martin Bellis on 3-2-1904
notes on Susan R............"For some forty years she a milliner in
Frenchtown; where she resided and died. She had no children, but her husband
had children by his first wife. The Joseph Mattison(1769-1831) family Bible
was in the possession of Susan Kugler Bellis; it met with destruction, it is
feared, in a bonfire of attic rubbish after her death. Residence of husband:
73 Woodland Ave. So. Orange, NJ"
2)Oliver R. b. 9-24-1863; d. 5-24-1933. He married Caroline Hoff 10-6-1886,
dau. of Cornelius Hoff. She died 8-12-1934.
Oliver held office of the county clerk in Hunt. Cnty and was a prominent
Democratic leader. He was clerk of the "Kingwood Old School Baptist Church"
of Locktown and custodian of its records.
Oliver and Caroline had a daughter, Marion H., b. 10-16-1888.
Marion m. G. Warde Reading 11-10-1911
Marion was a teacher in Great Neck, Long Island, NY
Marion and G. Reading had a son, Douglas K. born 8-10-1912.
Hope we can make a connection.
Good Luck,
Dave Sherman
