Dave,
There was an article in the sunday adition of the "Asbury Park Press" about a
local chapter of the Improved Order of Redman. Their lodge was destroyed by
fire and they are planning to rebuild. I t went on to say:
"The organization was chartered by the U.S.Congress and has roots in
Revolutionary War times. It descended from a group of colonists known as the
Sons of Liberty who, dressed as American Indians, dumped English tea into
Boston Harbor. The year was 1773, and the act is now known as the Boston Tea
Party."
