> Did the Archives tell you not to post the information? I've posted
cemetery listings (as you've
probably seen!) and I never asked anyone. I figured it was public
information. What if you went to
the cemeteryand wrote it all down and then posted it - what could they do
to you?<

Some of this went privately to Sharon because I failed to check if it was
coming back
to the board or not.

Who ever set up this mailing list, thank you very much. Had I found it
earlier ...

I found this Mailing List before I found the Hunterdon County Archive
thing, and I
sent the listing for the cemeteries here.

You guys showed that this list is still buried; but the Archives also wants
the list.

Long story short <BG>, I pointed out that all these people who volunteer to
host
the few sites with Hunterdon County information need to co-ordinate their
efforts
and fix it to where the information is easy to find and easy to access.

I told them since you all had the greatest need for information up front, I
would
post to the board. When I complete a cemetery, they get the full
transcript.

I've asked (but won't check to see if its done), that this cemetery
information
be assessible from the Hunterdon County Web Page.

The Archive person did question the duplication of information.

Told them, "I don't care who gets my information -
I've got the information that I am willing to post at no charge,
provided it gets a link of some sort to HCWP."

>I don't understand how you're index will work. How will they know if the
people listed are "their"
family?<

The Indexes are being put out because none of my materials are indexed, and
a request for all
the Smith's will have to wait, but the Smith's in ? Grave Yard will get a
faster reply. because I won't
have to hunt them down.

They will also let everybody know who is not in what cemetery.

> I was soooo excited when I saw that you had the listings. I have some
Moores that I just
cannot connect anyhow.....and I'm hoping that I'll find some other leads in
there, also. I have
Moore, Naylor, Kitchin, Johnson, Woolverton, Britton, Sutton, Fauss,
Holcomb, Lambert, Everitt,
...........I could go on!!<

Sharon and I are related, and on the above list of names I've worked on
Naylor, Moore, Fauss.

I sent her the list of almost completed genealogies I've done in relation
to our 2gr grandmother,
this all is another subject and I will get back to the cemeteries.

>Let me know if I can do anything.<

If this is your mailing list, thank you.
