Deborah,
I enjoy reading all the postings, I jump in from time
to time to add information.
I am in the process of adding most of the postings I
print out to an Access Data Base I created to track
people, because I decided if they aren't related to me
at this point in my research, they very well maybe in
another few weeks. Plus it's easier to pull the file
up when I am on-line and recognize a name someone is
looking for, it's much easier than trying to wade
through all the paperwork I am accumulating, reams.
I just get so frustrated when I know I have the answer
for someone and I just can't lay my hands on it. I
have printed out a fair amount of data from The Early
Settlers of Kings Co. NY, available on-line at
Cornell's MOA site, incase anyone is interested in the
site:
http://moa.umdl.umich.edu/
This is the Making of America project with lots of
early documents and books available and best of all
it's free. Anyone researching the Hunterdon group with
links to Monmouth and New Amsterdam/Staten Island/Long
Island should definatly camp out there for a few days.
It's a very addictive site.
I must say that this Hunterdon Mail List is the most
active and informative site I am a member of.
Thanks to everyone involved.
Sharon Murray
I have decided that data basing everyone is much more
efficient.
