<I'm looking for the parents of Aurianchey Bennet, my 4th great mother. She married Andrew Kenney May 5, 1791. Aurianchey was born in 1773 and died May 25, 1813. Andrew was born November 9, 1771 and died September 20, 1851. They are both buried in Readington Cemetery. Thanks, Phyllis>

"Ariantje" BENNET baptised 15 August 1773 at Readington, Somerset Co NJ who married Andrew KINNEY, was dau of Peter BENNET and Elizabeth STOUT. Peter was b. ca 1743 at Monmouth Co. NJ, resided in Somerset Co NJ. Besides Ariantje, other children are:
Margrietje bap. 20 March 1768 at Neshanic, Somerset Co NJ
Elizabeth bap. 12 March 1776
Peter bap. 27 June 1784
John bap 10 April 1796 at Somerset Co NJ

Peter BENNET was supposed son of Johannes (John) BENNET. Johannes was b. at Gowanus, Brooklyn, bap. 25 August 1703 at New Amsterdam Reformed Dutch Church. He married Annetje COUWENHOVEN (b. ca 1715 at Monmouth) Johannes relocated to Monmouth Co NJ sometime after 1726, was a merchant and trader at Monmouth, and involved in legal affairs.Children, all born in Monmouth:
Ariantje bap 29 Dec 1737 m. Tunis AMACK/AUMACK
(sup) Agnes b. ca 1740
(sup) William b. ca 1741
(sup) Peter b. ca 1743
(sup) Maria b. ca 1745

The above info comes from "William Adriaense Bennet Descendants and Related Families" by Kenneth A. Bennett, Peoria AZ, 1998 and the way the book is written it is tough to follow some of the lineages. It appears that Johannis was son of Willem Willemse 3 BENNET b. ca 1665, and the book provides no further info on Willem Willemse that I can find re marriage! It does appear that Willem Willemse also had a daughter, Marike (Marytje) b. c 1700 at Gowanus who married (sup) Pieter GERRITSEN.

Willem Willemse 3 was son of Willem Willemse 2 b. ca 1639 and Gertrude VAN MULLEN/MULHEYN.Willem Willemse 2 was son of Willem Adrianse 1 BENNET.Willem Adrianse is my ancestor, so I do have extensive info on him and some on his son Willem Willemse 2, if you are interested.
