Hi,
There is a book by Wm Peterson "Ancestors and Descendants of Garrett
Peterson and Nancy Smock" He has quite a lot on the NJ Pittengers, their
history as well. Give me a name of your earliest Pittenger and I'll look in
the book for you, if you are interested. These Pittengers also went with
the Peterson (early Dutch) into WV, and then into Ohio, some branches of
this same family. Some settled in Richland Co., Ohio as well.
