Hi Bill,
There was a George Eick born 1858, who is a brother to my husband's
great-grandfather, William Leavitt Eick who was born 1 Jun 1856 in
Larison's Corner. The Eick Bible mentioned in another reply belonged to his
daughter who allowed the family pages to be photocopied. William Leavitt
Eick and George Eick were sons of Anderson Eick (20 June 1830 - 1864) and
Thisby Kline Eick. Anderson Eick was the son of Taylor Eick b. 9 October
1786 Kingwood Twp, d. 23 August 1836 in Kingwood, and Anne Horner Eick, b.
1798, d. 7 May 1865. Taylor was the son of Tunis Eick, b. 14 December 1755
Kingwood Twp, d. 28 may 1830 Kingwood, and Susanna Taylor, b. 14 February
1762 d. 22 November 1841 in Kingwood Twp. She was the dau of John Taylor
and Elizabeth Thatcher. Tunis Eick was the son of Tunis Eick b. bef 1720,
died 1971 in Kingwood and Catherine (?) Eick, b. 1724, d. 16 June 1811 in
Kingwood. Just in case this is the George you are looking for this is all
that I have except for siblings of all mentioned above. The earlier Eicks
are buried in St. Thomas Episcopal Churchyard in Alexandria Twp. Wm L. Eick
was buried in Larison's Corner Cemetery. There were loads of Eicks in
Whitehouse where Rural Hill Cemetery is located, many of whom migrated
south from Tewksbury twp into Readington Twp. I'll check further on this
George for you to see if he is the one buried in Rural Hill.
