Johann Philip Kaes is also my 7g-grandfather! It was exciting for me to
read all the background information that has been shared over the past
few days. I was not aware of any of this. My thanks to all of you who
have helped shed light on this intriguing ancestor.

It seems like several of us share this common ancestor.

Question ... Are there any source you could recommend that might have
more background on this early settler?

What little I know about Johann Philip Kaes parents and children can be
