Those named above leased their land from the West
Jersey Society, which is still in existance in
Burlington, NJ.

For a full reprint of both articles, please
write Hunterdon County Historical Society,

Mr. Carter -- your ancestor is located
in Lott or Allotment number four ...
drawn by the Executors of Andrew Johnston.

Andrew Johnston owned four shares as of
11 October 1753, and in 1766, "Executors
of Andrew Johnston owned two shares."

I included the other names that I remember
passing thru the Mailing List, since March.

When the man known as 'Lord Sterling' died,
most of the persons leasing their land from
him lost their land in an Auction.

Hopefully, this might narrow down your year
span for when you came.

Good luck, and you are welcome.

Deborah in Oklahoma
