Are there READ/REED researchers on the list?

I have long accepted, having been told by other family researchers,
that Joseph READ, b 1733, d 1792 in what is now Warren Co, NJ,
Knowlton Twp, was not a part of the Read/Reed families of Hunterdon.
Having not researched it myself, I am skeptical, as I can find no
origin for him in the families of Philadelphia, PA and later southern
NJ, or the New England families, or those of VA. True, records may be
lacking. But I can't overlook the possibility that he may also have
his roots in Hunterdon Co.

I would so appreciate hearing from anyone who may have READ/REED
connections in Hunterdon, and the ability to discuss these families.
