Dear Mr. Allison:
I am interested in several of the names listed in your entry of
Oct. 12. My family line primarily is the Williamsons of Somerset and
Hunterdon Counties. It departs with Amos Williamson who married
Catherine Skillman in Hamilton County, Ohio. It is apparent that both
families had emmigrated to Ohio from New Jersey around 1810 or
thereabouts. Amos and Catherine were married in 1817 in Hamilton
County, Ohio and Catherine died there in 1822 after bearing three
children.
I have considerable information regarding the Williamsons and
related families but nothing of the Skillmans. I would appreciate it
very much if you could give me any information regarding Catherine
Skillman and her ancestral lineage.
