I have the following Tharps listed in Hunterdon co. in 1778-1780 Rev. Census
of NJ.
Benjamin -Reading, Hunterdon co.
Ephraim in Bethlehem, Hunterdon co
Ephraim in Kingwood, Hunterdon co.

there are no Hartrums listed in the same book.

There are at least another 20 or 30 Tharps in NJ at this time in Monmouth,
Morris and Middlesex and other counties.

There are several Hartrum Marriage licenses listed but all much later after
1860 or so in Hunterdon co.

There are also several Tharp marriages listed starting around 1803 but not
the one you mention.
