Searching for information on the SMITH line in Alexandria Township. I have a
WILLIAM H. SMITH b. abt Oct. 1800 to HARBERT and ANN SMITH. I suspect by
namesake Harbert may be a son of HERBERT SMITH and GERDUTH RICHELEM, or Ann
was a second wife. I further suspect they go back MATHIAS and CHRISTIANNA
SCHMIDT, the original German immigrants. Anybody have any clues?
