I have a copy of an orphan's court file listing Charles Gano as Guardian
for the children of Hiram Mettler. The children Martha Ann, Mary Maria,
John and William Henry Mettler. The guardianship papers were filed in
1855. What I would like to determine is what relationship Charles and
Samuel Gano may have had to these children. It appears that Hiram was a
widower at the time of his death.
