Looking for information on, and contact with descendants of, Patrick and
Henry DEVER, both of Lambertville, Hunterdon Co., New Jersey in the 1860s.
Henry witnessed Patrick's widow's Claim for Pension in 1863, and swore that
he'd known her for at least five years, but I don't whether they were
related. Some of Patrick's daughters were born in Newark, Essex Co., NJ in
1853 and in Carbon Co., PA in 1857 and 1858. Many more details are below my
signature. Thanks.

Notes for Susannah HARRITY:

Extract from an email from Lindel B., dated 5 Nov 1999 5:43, entitled Re:
Donegal lookup:
"...so i concentrated on Harrity during the time of the
Tithes (1820s) and specifically Parishes where BOTH Harrity and Dever
occurred (there's no Haritys in the Griffiths or tithes). It's the best way
I could figure out for a place of origin......I don't believe they would
have been from totally different Parishes if they married in 1852......

Donagh Parish - Harrity, Dever & Devir on the Tithes
Aughnish Parish - Harrity & Devir
Raymunterdoney Parish - Harrity

So, it doesn't look too bad for a Parish - Harrity only occurred in those
three Parishes.....only one Parish had both Harrity and Dever and two had
Harrity and Devir. There was nothing for the other spellings you gave for
Harrity. And there were no Harritys in any of those Parishes for the
Griffiths......there's only this entry for the whole of Donegal in 1857 -
Patrick Harrity, living in Newtowncunningham, in the Parish of All Saints."

1865 NJ Census, Town of Lambertville, Hunterdon County:
Only DEVER is Henry Devor, no. 587, listed with 3 white foreign-born males,
3 white foreign-born females, one boy aged 5-16, and one girl aged 5-16.
Whomever Susannah was living with should have listed 4 girls bet. 5-16yo.
