Hi Debbie,

James P. Snell's "History of Hunterdon & Somerset Counties" published 1881,
has a lineage of the immigrant Harmon HOFFMAN starting on Page 472:

"Harmon HOFFMAN came from Germany and settled where James Stevenson now
lives, between Cokesbury and Mountainville. His children were John,
Frederick, Harmon, Dolly and Mary."

There follows a mention of a John HOFFMAN who married a Miss YOUNG of Fox
Hill and buying land. It does not state who this particular John HOFFMAN is.
It gives the names of John's children and those children's children, along
with whom they married.

On Page 473, it mentions Harmon HOFFMAN, son of the immigrant, married Anna
SCHUYLER. His children were Henry M., Peter M., Philip, Lizzie, Mary and
Ann, and proceeds to tell the names of their spouses.

If you do not have this book, it is usually available in libraries that have
a New Jersey section.

Evelyn
