Hello Debbie, Marshall Lake, and Evelyn,
I have been interested in your e-mails on the Hoffman Family lines of
late. Evelyn, I have a copy of JP Snell's (c. 1881) History of Hunterdon and
Somerset Cos., too and have enjoyed searching through it for clues on my
various NJ lines. I have been to the pages you quoted for Debbie.
Do any of you know anything about Lena Hoffman (b. c. 1772) who married
John Hoppock? They were married Mar. 9, 1797. They are the parents of my
3rd great-grandmother, Margaret Hoppock (1800-1879). Lena is supposed to be
the daughter of Jacob Hoffman (1735-1815) and his first wife Steintje
Unknown. Jacob's parents are supposed to be John Hoffman (1664-1748) and
Margarite Anhuisen.
