I am trying to locate sources to prove the following information that was
sent to me about my ancestor, Joseph BURWELL.
The individual that sent me the info did not write the sources down when
originally found. I am hoping that someone can give me tips on where to
locate the sources in Hunterdon County.
This is what I was sent:
Joseph BURWELL was the son of John BURWELL Agness LEE
Joseph BURWELL was listed as a farmer in Morris Co., NJ. He was a
post rider in Quakerstown, Hunterdon, NJ in 1768-69. In 1771 he moved to
Kingwood, Hunterdon Co., NJ. He was listed in various documents as being
in Hunterdon Co. He then moved to Rostraver, Westmoreland, PA was in
the 1790 census there.

Westmoreland, PA
m. Sarah RUNYON bef 1754 d. bef 1771
Joseph Sarah had the following children:

Hunterdon, NJ
3) Samuel BURWELL b. in Hunterdon, NJ
4) Agness BURWELL b. in Hunterdon, NJ
5) Barford BURWELL b. in Hunterdon, NJ
6) Phineas BURWELL b. bef 1770 in Hunterdon, NJ d. abt 1833 in
Franklin, OH
wife #2 of Joseph: m. 29 Oct 1771 in Kingwood, Hunterdon,
NJ
Mary ROBINS b. 15 Jun 1741 in Hunterdon, NJ d. 19 Feb 1808 in
PA
children of Joseph Mary:
1) Joseph BURWELL b. 2 Mar 1772 in Hunterdon, NJ
2) Isaac BURWELL b. 3 Oct 1774 in Hunterdon, NJ
3) Job BURWELL b. 26 Jan 1780 in Hunterdon, NJ
4) Abigail BURWELL b. 10 Nov 1782 in Hunterdon, NJ d. 7 Mar 1785 in
Hunterdon, NJ
I did locate the marriage info about Joseph Burwell his 2nd wife Mary
Robins. I have been unable to find anything listing
Sarah as Joseph's wife or any listing of the children in Hunterdon
Co.
