These 2 Birds connect in my ancestry. The history of this Family begins with
a James Peters coming to America from England by way of Ireland in 1740-49.
James married a Mary Bird in 1749. In 1750, James drowned in the Susquehanna
River while trying to rescue a woman who fell over a flatboat. Posthumously,
a John Peters was born. This John Peters married a Rachel Pownall in 1779 in
Hunterdon County, NJ. Rachel's mother was Effie (Bird) Pownall. John and
Rachel lived and had children in Philadelphia County, PA from 1786 to 1792.
They then removed to Hampshire County, WV(Three Churches area near Romney, WV
). In 1811, after all their children removed to Ohio, they to moved to Pike
County, Ohio.
Effie Bird (b. 1725 NJ - Per Family History Center IGI) m. Reuben Pownall in
about 1747. Reuben and Effie (Bird) Pownall had a daughter, Rachel (b. 1756).
Rachel Married John Peters(son of James and Mary 'Bird' Peters).
Daughter of Elisha Bird and Cathrina Ringo(dau. Of Albertus and Jane Ringo)

1) Cathrina Ringo had a sister named Aeftje. This Phonetically is "Effie".
2) Effie named her oldest daughter Jane. Cathrina's mother was Jane.
3) Elisha Bird's son, Elisha, Jr. named a son Reuben.
4) Effie and Reuben named a son Elisha.
5) The Peters had Elisha Bird Peters in each 4 generations later.
6) The name Albert 3 generations later.
7) Ringos lived 10 miles from Pownall's on opposite sides of Delaware River.

Here, I have sent you a list of 15 Mary Bird's. Mary Bird #005 was James
Bird's of Spring Valley, Ohio speculation 2 years ago in 1998. He had sent
Eleanor Bird of NJ a description of possibilities. Please take a look to see
if we can eliminate from any possibility the other 15 Mary Bird's.

Thank you in advance for your help on trying to find our 2 Bird Connections.
These 2 Birds connect in my ancestry. The history of this Family begins with
a James Peters coming to America from England by way of Ireland in 1740-49.
James married a Mary Bird in 1749. In 1750, James drowned in the Susquehanna
River while trying to rescue a woman who fell over a flatboat. Posthumously,
a John Peters was born. This John Peters married a Rachel Pownall in 1779 in
Hunterdon County, NJ. Rachel's mother was Effie (Bird) Pownall. John and
Rachel lived and had children in Philadelphia County, PA from 1786 to 1792.
