I have the "Gazetteer of the State of NJ" for 1834 and for 1983. I also
have D'Autrechy's "Hunterdon Co Place Names". Johnstons Forge is not
mentioned in any of the three books. In D'Autrechy's book there is an
entry for Opdyckes Mills which refers to Nishisackaway. Under
Nishisackaway it says "Alexandria Township. This name was given to a
settlement at Wilson's or Opdycke's Mills one mile east of Everittstown in
1881. (Snell: 423)"
