At the Hunterdon Co. Hist. Society there are several rolls in three series of microfilm from the Hunterdon County Cultural And Heritage Commission, all rolls subtitled in some form: Archival Index Cards.

These are index cards, arranged in alpha order, corresponding to a record somewhere. Does anyone know more about these? The person on-duty that night did not know about them.

Here are some examples of the records:

M.R. 9784

Appeals 1059

Affidavit 2600

Militia 2429

Recognizance 998

Insolvent 312

Indictment 3053

and some were just plain numbers without any descriptive word.

and others reference folders.

Can anyone tell me if these records are in the Hunt. Co. Hist. Soc's holdings? If not, where do I go searching? What do these rolls represent?

thanks

- john
