Lewis married Anna Fisher sister of Sarah. As you listed the parents of Sarah
and Anna were William Fisher and Charity Youngblood. William Fisher's
father was Peter Fisher. Lewis and Anna are buried in the Baptist church
yard in Flemington, New Jersey.

The only information that I have concerning Alpheus Chamberlin and Catherine
Young is that they are both buried in Amwell Ridge Cemetery, Larison's
Corner, New Jersey.

Sarah Fisher and Lewis Chamberlin are my fifth great-grand parents. I am
descendant from their daughter Gertrude who married Christopher Danberry.

FISHER, SNOOK/WOMBAUGH (var.).

Ann SNOOK, dau. of William (d 1760) married Henry WOMBAUGH. Henry died in
Amwell, intestate, bef. 29 Oct 1787, when Ann was made administrator of his
estate. Fellowbondsman was Philip SNOOK, both of same place. I have the
WOMBAUGH children as Peter, Catherine, Ann, William and Henry.

On 3 Aug 1800, Henry WOMBAUGH (Jr.) married his cousin Rachel SNOOK, daughter
of George Snook. The Officator was Stout. Henry Jr. died before 5 Feb 1808,
when his children Ann and Jacob (under the age of 14) were put under the
guardianship of their mother Rachel. Sureties were provided by William SNOOK
and William DANBURY.

Peter FISHER of Amwell Twp., Hunterdon Co., left an undated will that was
proved 19 Nov 1821. He named sons James J. Fisher, Cornelius Fisher &
William Fisher; unmarried daus. Charity and Anna Fisher. Daughter Elizabeth,
wife of Mahlon WAMBOUGH was to receive interest from money put in trust
during her life and at her decease, to her sons Fisher and Augustine
WAMBOUGH. Executors: brother William Fisher and son William Fisher. Wits:
David Manners, Peter Boss, and Sarah Johnson. (More Records of Old Hunterdon
County, Vol. II, Phyllis B. D'Autrechy, Hunterdon Co. Hist. Soc., 2000.)

Marriages according to Hiram Deats, 1795-1875:
*Caty Wombough to Asher Hoppock, 24 Sep 1804, Officiator Risler, JP.
(The dau of Henry Sr. and Ann Snook?)
Anna Wambough to William Van Fleet, 2 Jun 1805, Officiator Runyan, JP.
(The other dau. of Henry Sr. and Ann Snook?)
*Rachel Wombough to Isaac Compton, 5 Jan 1809, Officiator Blackwell, JP.
(The widow Rachel (Snook) Wambough?)
*Mahlon Wombough to Betsey Fisher, 6 Jan 1816, Officiator Kirkpatrick.

C. A. Wambough to Elizabeth Suydam, 31 Dec 1846, Officiator Campfield.
Elizabeth Wambough to Elias A. Smith, 6 Feb 1847, " "
And others much later.

Is this the father of Peter Fisher (above) whose will was proved in 1821?

On 20 May 1814, Jacob Fisher, Sr. of Amwell wrote his will naming wife
Margaret Fisher; three daus. Anne Farley (widow), Mary Wilson (widow), and
Sarah Prall (wife of Abraham); son Peter Fisher; dau-in-law Anna Fisher,
widow of dec'd son Jacob Fisher and her son Caleb Farley Fisher when 21, and

of dec'd son Jacob Fisher. Wits: John Lequear, Jacob YOUNG and Philip SNOOK.
