Hello Carol,
One name I would like you to keep in your memory bank as you read is: PETTY.
Any Petty will do as I do not know my Joseph's origins. I would like to
think, that since he only had one other Petty family in his midst while he
was there, he belongs to Capt. John PETTY and his wife Margaret. But, since
I cannot document his birth into that family, I will have to be content w/
locating bits of information about the early PETTY lines there and hope for
the best. Joseph left in 1808 for OH, but any info about any PETTY prior to
that or an obit mentioning him after that would be most welcome. Thank you.
