I am curious if anyone else has had a group leaving the Hunterdon/Somerset
areas in the 1830s for Ohio, to be exact, Mt. Healthy? Mt. Healthy is near
Cinncinatti. And was actually known as a respite from the cholera epidemic
in the 1800s.<
Sharon,
My wife's Bonham family ancestors left Hunterdon County sometime in
the 1830-1850 time frame and migrated to Darke County, Ohio. That's 60 or
so miles north of the Cincinnati area. There were also some Gordon and
McClain families that showed up in the area at about that time.
Glen
