To the Listers in Hunterdon County,

I need help in finding out about a Paster, M. F. Warner,
who was the pastor of the M. E. Church in Union Township.
He served the church in the year of 1874. There could have
been some plus or minus years also. I don't know the total
length of time. He is most likely one of my ancestors.
I understand this Methodist Church was founded in 1838.
I was hoping to find out who his parents were, if possible.
Also his wife's name if married and siblings, etc. The length
of time he served as Pastor of the church, and perhaps the
reason he left.
I have written a letter along with a self-stamped envelope to the
present Pastor, Pastor Dekolf. At least I was under the impression
this was the correct church and present Pastor.
I sent this letter on July 19, and as yet have had no answer of
any kind. Not even a "Sorry we do not do this sort of thing."
In 1855 my ggrandparents William and Margart Arner Warner
were among 89 founding members of the Main Street Methodist
Episcopal Church. The First Methodist Church in Phillipsburg, N.J.
This Phillipsburg Church is now the Wesley United Methodist
Church, and they have been just wonderfull in giving me
everything they have on my ancestors.
Since Pastor M.F. Warner was with the M. E. Church in Union
Township, Hunterdon County, during 1874, I feel there is a definite
connection.
I certainly would appreciate very much if someone could help
me out on this.
Thank you,
Larry Warner
