This message is not related to Hunterdon County, but I'm hoping that
it might benefit some members of this list. I am very excited about a
website I discovered today. It is that of Green-Wood Cemetery in
Brooklyn, New York.

You can go to the URL at www.green-wood.com

There you can click on "Burial Inquiries" at the bottom of the
display. This will allow you to instantly search through over 500,000
interments. Ordinarily, you would have to call the cemetery office
and hope that the person who answered was in a good mood. Then send a
check, and wait several weeks. This new approach is a significant
improvement, and perhaps a model for other large cemeteries to follow
where sufficient funding is available.

Who knows! Your Hunterdon ancestors may have come through New York.
