Does anyone have confirmation that Anna Maria Kase (Kaes, Case) daughter
of Johann Philip Kaes and Elizabeth Jung , b 1709 married a Henry
(Henrich) Dils or a Peter Dils. Both Henrich and Peter prob. sons of
Wilhelm Dils and Eulala Thomas Dils of Urbach all b in Urbach area of
Germany and migrated to Hunterdon Co NJ between 1709 and ca 1750.
According to Henry Z Jones 1992 on more Palatine arrivals, Henry Dils
was naturalized 8 Dec 1744. Henry Dils d 11 May 1787, bur in Larison
Corners Cem, Hunterdon Co NJ. On 25 Jun 1759 a deed from the children
and grandchildren to Johann Philip Kase cites the children of Ann Dilts,
the late wife of Henry Dils.i. e Philip Dils and Henry Dils Jr. The
will of Henry Dils of Amwell mentions his wife Ann(a) and children
Philip (the eldest), Henrich, Wilhelm, Peter, Jacob, Maria who m a
Bodine, Anna who m a Cool or Kuhl, Elisabeth who m a Tied or Tid,
Catherine unmarried, and Christine who m a Wambach.
Other sources indicate that Ann Maria Kase married a Peter Dils who
d young and she married secondly a William Hoffman. William Hoffman is
supposed to have named in his will his stepchildren, the children of
Peter Dils and Anna Maria Kase Dils
Further, in Chambers book, early Germans of NJ. p 333 lists an
Anna Mary ? m a William Hoffman. His will probated 1764 names
stepchildren Peter, Philip, Christian (or Christopher), Catherine Dilts
Beyer, and Anna Elisabeth Snyder. Johann Philip and Elisabeth Jung Kase
actually had two daughters named Anna, one was Anna Maria, the other
Anna Elisabeth (the younger one) Peter Dilts (Jr) is believed to have
married an Elizabeth, is this Elizabeth Creager.
Can anyone help me out of my Peter Dils, Henry Dils William Hoffman
