Hi,

Brinkman, Abraham19 Jan 1772He was from Kleinegadig in the Duchy of
Wurtemberg. He died early on the 18th of January of an (illegible)
sickness in the 39th year of his age. Funeral text Psalms 146 verses
3-5. He had lain sick for about a quarter of a year. Regarding his speech
and blessed spirit of God seemed to work heavily on his soul so that we
therefore have the hope that he has entered into the kingdom of Jesus our
savior.

in our church yard.

Graff, Maria Barbara22 Mar 1783On Saturday, early at the break of day, my
wife, Maria Barbara Graff, was released through a gentle death from her
long enduring misery and pain. The following Monday her lifeless body with
a numerous company, was buried in our churchyard at the side of our little
son who was buried in 1778. Dr. Rogers the English Presbyterian minister
at the Lamerton Congreation gave an English sermon. The years of life
appointed to her by the Lord came not fully to forty and eight, of which we
spent nearly twenty-four years in living and contented marriage through
God's grace, until, for me, the Lord ordained this most painful parting.

63rd year of his age.

he had the best opportunity to prepare himself for his impending end. He

75th year of his pilgrimage, the Lord let him succeed in his wish to die.

and his wife Veronica. She was quiet in her actions and conduct,
obedient at home, eager for knowledge in the hours of instruction,
especially at the end, and, finally, a faithful admirer of Jesus. In her
we have lost a promising ornament of our youth. She had been inoculated,
and had scarcely recovered to some degree, when she caught a cold. Her
blood issued strongly from her mouth, nose and the pox. Bleeding and a
fever seem to have been the means by which the Lord removed her to eternity.

Swachhammer, Samuel3 Feb 1782The Lord of our life made a hopeful blessed
end to the long life and 6 week illness of our oldest member and father
Samuel Swachhammer. He came in the year of 1731 to this American
wilderness, and in his life was experienced the truth of the words "In the
sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return into the ground"
(Genesis III:19) for the Lord had blessed him quite specially with a very
numerous family. He thrice entered the state of Holy Matrimony, and begat
25 children. From these, before his end, 73 grandchildren were born, and
from these in turn, 25 great-grandchildren, all of whom he looked
after. The entire number of those produced from his blood was therefore
123, of whom 18 preceded him into Eternity, and accordingly at his
departure there were still 105 living. In the 82nd year of his useful life
he surrendered his soul into the hands of his Heavenly Father, who must
have made it in His mercy, for Jesus Christ's sake. I preached in his
