I found the information and indexes at the Roots Web local sites... GenWeb
for the local counties. Also found many archives references at Ancestry.com
You can get a free two-week subscription to Ancestry.com All on the web.
Google is an excellent search engine. Just try typing in a search such as
"early NJ marriages" and you should find many references to the indexes. I
found wills on the web, and simply pulled the microfilm at the archives....

Kate,
What indices are available online from the New Jersey State Archives?
How can we access them?
Thank you,

"NJ State Archives. Most of the indexes are available on-line, so I
did
my research before I went and was able to pull my records in very
little
time. The State Library is adjacent to the ARchives and has a good
genealogy section."
