Dear Listers,
This is a copy of a message that I sent to Mike this morning. It was
intended for the whole list to read, but I pressed the wrong button somewhere.
You know the old saw: I don't agree with what you say, but I will
defend to the death your right to say it. Well this is one of those times.
However, as I tried to say to Mike, we can disagree with each other
without resulting to hatefulness and name calling.
Back to genealogy people.

      I don't think anyone  minds your posting these messages. You have as
much a right as anyone else.  Indeed you have some valid points in what you
say.  I think it is not what you say, but the way you say it----with such
hatefulness and with name-calling and with total lack of respect for the
feelings or thoughts of anyone else. If you want to win people over to your
view point, I doubt that this is the way to do it.
      As far as Smith's in Hunterdon Ct., I am afraid that I can not help you
personally as there are none in my line.  But I believe that you might have
to be a bit more specific in your request as Hunterdon is, as anywhere else,
full of them.
