The 1792 militia records are listed in the "Gen. Mag. of NJ", vol. 9 (from
notes my parents made years ago). I think they were also published in the
NJ Archives, but not sure. My records don't have any ages listed. The law
of Nov. 30, 1792 required all men 18-45 to enroll in the militia. I've
never found when they were actually enrolled, but was told in Hunterdon Co.
it was soon after the law was enacted.

I also have reference to a book "NJ Officers and Men in Wars 1791-1815". It
includes those who served in the PA Insurrection of 1794, War with France
1798-1801 and War with Great Britain 1812-1815.

Another book that might be helpful is " NJ Tax Lists 1772-1822", Ronald Vern
Jackson, editor.
