Leah,

I'm sorry I can't add to your knowledge of "Stephen Reed". May I ask,
however, if you have a "Martha Reed" in your files. She could even be a
sibling of your Stephen. She would have been born @1742, or after. She
married John Middleswarth before 1783, when their son Ner Middleswarth was
born. John served in units of the Morris County and Hunterdon County militia
in the Revolution. He paid taxes in Hunterdon County(Kingwood and Bethlehem
Twp) between 1780 and 1790, so they lived close to your Reed family. Like
you, I am looking for siblings and parents for Martha, a record of her
marriage, or birth records of their children. I would be happy if only you
could give me the church your Reeds attended. Then I could look there
myself.
