My great grandmother's name was Susan PETTIT. She was born in Hunterdon
County, NJ on 4 Sept. 1840, married (1) Adam HYDE and had one son, Adam Hyde,
Jr, born 7 June 1864 (according to our Abbott Family Bible). The Solebury,
PA census for 1880 gives his age as 10, making his birth year about 1870???.
In any event, he died 15 November 1933 in Trenton (Hamilton) Mercer County,
NJ His wife's name was Esther.

Susan PETTIT married (2) Jacob Schenck ABBOTT, my great grandfather, born 10
July 1848 in Lambertville, Hunterdon County, NJ. They were married 1
September 1869 in Stockton, Hunterdon County, NJ. Susan PETTIT died 15
November 1910 in Trenton (Hamilton) NJ . Jacob Schenck ABBOTT died 2 January
1918. Both are buried in Colonial Memorial Park, Hamilton, NJ. Susan Pettit
and Jacob Abbott had three boys, Randolph ABBOTT 1870 - 1959, John Schenck
ABBOTT (my grandfather) 1873 - 1934, wife Louisa BESSONETT and William ABBOTT
1877 - 1968, wives (1) Sarah S JACKSON and (2) Lena S _________. All three
of their boys are also buried in Colonial Memorial Park, Hamilton, NJ
