Hello Mike,

Thanks much for the info. In your Pettit research, have you run across a
Johnathan (Jonathan?) Pettit born abt 1766 in New Jersey who married a
Susannah DePew? That is the line I am researching.

They had Pettit children:
*David b 1793 in Sussex County
*Henry Newton b 12 Mar 1795 Sussex County
*Joseph b 1797 NJ
*Female dau b 1800 Randolph County, Illinois
*Thomas b 30 Nov 1808 Kaskaskia, Randolph Co, Illinois
*Jonathan Jr. b 1802 Kahokia, Randolph Co, Illinois
*John b 1804 Kahokia, Randolph Co, Illinois
*Samuel b 1812 Randolph Co, Illinois
*Female dau b 1815 Randolph County, Illinois

I am told that the father of Johnathan Sr (b 1766 New Jersey) was a John
Pettit (born France, but I have no proof.) John Pettit may or may not have
been his father, and may or may not have been born in France.

Thank you, Brenda
