Any Hunterdon Co researchers have info on the Dils/Dilts.Diltz surname?
My ggggrandfather was one William Henry Dils b 1799 Hunterdon Co. He
was one of two sons of a Henry Dils b ca 1766 and a Hannah or Anna,
surname unknown. His brother was Peter H Dils and there is more info on
him. William Henry Dils married a Susanna Dalrymple in the Kingwood
Baptist Church, Hunterdon Co. She was the daughter of George Dalrymple
and Anna Maxwell of Hunterdon Co. William Henry and wife Susanna had 5
children between 1822 and 1832 and lived in Hunterdon Co. Susanna
apparently died ca 1834/35 (no date) and in 1835/36 William H married
secondly an Elizabeth, presumably in Hunterdon Co and in 1835/36 William
H, Elizabeth and William's 5 children migrated to Montgomery Co OH. In
1837 he was co-executor of the estate of his uncle Francis Dils in
Montgomery Co OH. Francis Dils first wife was Margaret VanArsdalen of
York Co PA. I am seeking dates of Susanna's death, William Henry's
marriage to Elizabeth and the surname of Elizabeth, Elizabeth died in
1640 and was buried in the Zion Cemetery in Montgomery. I have info to
share on these families. Will be grateful for any help.
