Boy, could I use some help!

I've had information on my gg-gf for many years, but have never been able to
find his ancestors.......until recently.

I now have new information that I feel certain is correct. Does anyone
recognize anything or think there might be a connection.

This is starting with my gg-gf and working further back. An unusual order,
but I'm more positive of the information written first.

Peter W. KINNEY b. Apr 1826/27 NJ (possibly Hunterdon Co.) d. 1911 Pontiac,
Michigan

Parents and siblings of Peter W. Kinney are as follows:

Parents: William KINNEY b. 1806? NJ and Mary (probably WILSON) b. 1806? NJ

Children of William and Mary (Wilson) KINNEY:

Peter W. KINNEY b. Apr 1826/27 NJ (possibly Hunterdon Co.)

Phebe KINNEY b. abt 1829 NJ (possibly Hunterdon Co.)

Anna KINNEY b. abt 1834 USA d. Ontario, Canada 26 May 1897

The family left NJ between 1834 and 1838 and settled in Brant County,
Ontario, Canada where several more children were born....They were:

Lewis Batson KINNEY b. 15 Mar 1838 Canada d. 10 July 1925

James KINNEY b. abt 1843 d. 6 Jun 1865 Canada

John KINNEY b. abt 1840 d. 30 Nov 1930 Canada

Sarah KINNEY b. abt 1845 Ontario, Canada

Andrew b. abt 1849 Ontario, Canada

My gg-gf didn't like living in Canada and asked his father to give him some
money that was "due him" so that he could resettle to Michigan. Peter spent
the rest of his life in Michigan where he married in 1854.

It is believed that William KINNEY (Peter's father) b. 1806 is the son of
William KINNEY b. 1770 and Phebe (VanDaventer) of Readington, Hunterdon Co.,
NJ.

This KINNEY line goes back like this.....according to information I have
been given.

Michael KINNEY b. 1743 d. 22 Mar 1829 and Mary VAN FLEET b. 1747 d. 14 Apr
1828

William KINNEY b. ?? d. 1760 m. Eva SCHIRTS

Peter KINNE b. abt 1676 d. 1745 and Ida WILLIAMS

Adrian Pieterse KINNE b. abt 1652 and Willempe Pieterse WYCKOFF

It was only due to the perseverence of Cathy DiPietro that I was able to
connect Peter W. KINNEY to his rightful family in Canada. I alway assumed
that since he came from NJ (as shown on Michigan census records and his
death certificate) .... that the rest of his family were either still in NJ
or were also somewhere in Michigan. I have the proof I need though now to
be certain that Peter W. KINNEY is the son of William KINNEY and Mary
WILSON? who removed from NJ to Canada.

Can anyone fill me in a bit on this family's other ancestors. There must be
information and/or a story that will 'bring them to life'. Names and dates
are wonderful, but I'd like to know more about their lives. Any and all
help would be appreciated.

Sincerely,
Bonnie Menzer Barnes
