Subject: [NJHUNTER] 1850 Map of Raritan Township

Greetings!

An article appeared in the Hunterdon County Democrat on Thursday,
December 27th, stating that an 1850 map of Raritan Township has been
reprinted by the township's Local Historians Committee. The map
pinpoints the location of every house with the name of the owner
written beside it. Also, various points of local interest are shown.
The top and bottom edges contain small etchings of noteworthy
buildings of the time including Reaville Church, Union Hotel and
county courthouse. A small, detailed map of Flemington is inset on
the side of the township map.

An unframed copy of the map (24 - by - 36 inches) is available from
the township's clerk office, and a local framing shop for $25.00.
