For those interested in the APGAR surname, there are some nice old
CDV's of Austin Craig Apgar available on Ebay. The auction will close
in about three days. Click on the following URL:
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1057501354
The following is a description of the offering:
Here is a group of 4 original late 1800s CDV photos of Austin C.
Apgar, including one with a microscope. He was a well known New Jersey
professor of Botany and Zoology at the New Jersey State Normal and
Model Schools as well as an author. They are 4" x 2.5" and 3 of them
are marked as having been taken by Wm. A. Apgar in Somerville New
Jersey. They are in good shape, see the photos. See my other auctions
for his daughters personal copy of his book on Birds of the United
States as well as a huge unique scrapbook of letters of appreciation
he received in the early 1900s from associates and former students.
Check, money order, or paypal, buyer pays shipping.
Hope somebody will be interested in these!
