This is what I have for Johann Philip KAES ( most of this info I got from
John KUHL <> ):

Johann was the son of Karl DeKASSE who was a Duke in Germany. Johann was
naturalized by the legislative act of 1730. Johann married first Anna
Elizabetha JUNG and second Rachel HAUSER. According to "Traditions of
Hunterdon" by D. H. Moreau (1957) Johann settled in Flemington in 1732 and
built a cabin there. Johann wrote his will in NYC dated 27 Nov 1754, and
it was proved in Amwell Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ on 12 Feb 1756. His
children by Anna: William, Eva Maria who married Johann Paul KUHL (I have
much more info on this couple if interested), Frona Catharina who married
Henry WINTER, Elizabeth who married Peter ALLER, Ann who married Henry
Peter DILTS and had at least two children: Phillip & Hendrick. Johann's
children by Rachel: Hendrick, Peter whose will is dated 1779, Philip
(there's a story in "Union Township, Rural Collections" by Andrew C Herdan
which talks about this Philip ... I can post it if need be), and
Catherine.

I realize that this doesn't answer the question but maybe some of this
info will help.

I would like to obtain a copy of this book. Do you know if it's available
for sale anywhere?
